Complaint
Situation After receiving iOS 10.3.1 update from Apple, the audio of incoming telephone calls is not transmitted through the vehicle‘s sound system.

SA6NP – Enhanced USB and Bluetooth
CORRECTION
Update device to iOS 10.3.2 or higher
Procedure
Do not program vehicle or replace parts as these do not provide a solution.
Perform the following steps:
Warranty Information only.
1. Verify and/or update the device to the latest iOS software (currently 10.3.3)
2. Delete the VIN from the device
3. Delete the device from the vehicle
4. Shut down the device completely (not stand-by mode)
5. Exit and lock vehicle
6. Reset network settings on device – go to settings>general>reset>reset network settings
Note: Step 6 will delete all Wi-Fi connection data, which must be re-entered by customer.
7. Allow vehicle to sleep for 5 mins
8. Reboot the device
9. Pair the device to the vehicle
10. Retest functionality

You will also want to do the KISA update in the car. File can be downloaded from link at the bottom.
First of all you’ll have to download the new software from the BMW support site (Make sure to enter the correct VIN – last 7 figures – in the specified window on the BMW site, in order to get the proper software update for your vehicle) and copy it onto the USB drive (again, remember that it must be formatted as FAT32).
After that, all you need to do is insert the USB drive in the USB audio interface and access the Software Update option in the Settings menu of the Control Display. The iDrive system will be automatically updated.
Once the software has been updated, the system is restarted and data transferred from the USB device resynchronized where necessary. You’ll just have to wait a few minutes until the USB device is operational again.
